Mara Nyumbani Safaris was founded by Emmanuel and Betty — high school sweethearts who grew up under the same Tanzanian sky, and who built this company around a simple idea: that the country they love is best experienced through the people who love it.

Today, Mara Nyumbani Safaris is part of Mara Home Collection, a Tanzanian hospitality and travel collection. Our safari operations are conducted under Mara Home Collection, through our TALA licence No. 037387.

What began as a handful of quietly personal journeys has become a small, growing safari house — with a team of designers, guides, and hosts across Arusha, the Serengeti and Zanzibar. Emmanuel and Betty remain closely involved in every itinerary, but the family behind Mara Nyumbani Safaris is now much larger than two.

We believe luxury is measured in warmth, not decoration. In how a guide notices you're tired before you say so. In how a lodge remembers how you take your coffee. In the way an evening ends with an unhurried conversation under a sky full of stars.
